Every room, in your own photos
We photograph your home and build each room tile from your pictures — with a daytime and an evening version, so the interface always looks like your house.
Home automation · Lower Mainland, BC
Quintessential Automations designs, installs and looks after custom smart-home systems across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley — lighting, blinds, climate, audio-video and your front door, all in one beautifully simple interface.
Try it right here
This isn’t a mock-up — it’s the real interface running against a simulated house. Tap, drag and explore. Everything you change appears on every device, exactly as it does in a client’s home.
Automatic by design
Every screen in your home follows the sun. Bright and warm while it’s light out; easy on the eyes after sunset — with your room photographs switching to their evening versions too. Nobody has to touch a setting.
Designed around you
Every dashboard we deliver is built for the home it lives in. We start from how you live and what you asked for — and the interface reflects it down to the last room tile.

“Movie night.” “Dinner’s ready.” “Goodnight.” One tap sets the lights, the blinds, the music and the heat — tuned to your routines, not a template.
Tell us what matters — the devices you own, who uses which screen, what should never be fiddly — and we design the layout, controls and colours around it.
Sample rooms from our demo home — yours will use photographs of your own.
Keypads & switches
Elegant keypads in every room — one press sets a scene, dims a zone or lowers the shades. Every button is laser-etched with the words your family actually uses.
Choose a style
From a simple lighting-zone keypad to a full scene controller. Each one is programmed to the lights, scenes and shades you choose, and the legends are etched to your wording.
Type what each button should say. The legends are laser-etched into the keys, so they never fade, peel or wear off.
Press the buttons — they run the sample home in the live demo.
The handheld remote
A specialized remote that controls your audio-video equipment, your home automation — and answers the front-door intercom. Real buttons you can find without looking, plus a screen for everything else.
TV, receiver and streamer switch on together and land on the right input. Sound modes and volume stay in your hand.
Dim the room, run “Movie night” or check the whole house — without hunting for a phone.
The door camera appears on the remote’s screen. Talk to the visitor, or let them in — from the sofa.
Why Quintessential
We design systems that stay out of the way: fast, local, and free of the small annoyances that make smart homes feel like a hobby.
Your lights, blinds and heating are controlled from inside your house — not by a company’s server that could change its mind.
No vendor accounts to log into, no developer-mode renewals, no apps that quietly stop working. It just keeps working.
Your photographs, your room names, your scenes and colours. A tailored interface, not a stock template.
Improvements reach your screens within minutes over a secure connection — and we’re a call away when you want something changed.
On the big screen
Rooms, lights, music, cameras and the front door — right on the TV you already own, built to be steered with the remote in your hand. It turns light by day and dark at night, all by itself.
How it works
We visit, listen and map how you live — which rooms, which devices, and what you’d love to do with a single tap.
We design your dashboards: your photographs for every room, scenes named your way, colours to suit your home — and show you before we install.
We wire and configure everything — lighting, blinds, climate, AV, cameras, the door intercom — and mount your tablets, TV box and remote.
Updates and tweaks arrive remotely, within minutes. No site visit, no app updates, no logins to remember.
